Leaf litter has attracted me for some years, particularly in countries where Autumn is a blink between summer and winter. Each Autumn there’s a point when each tree lets go of it’s leaves, often the winds carry the leaves off but sometimes they fall in a wonderful heap at the base. I seek out that cascade of colour. Which for me can be Autumn’s glorious finalé.



This year I chanced on a pond in Adelaide that was chock full of leaf litter. I found it an interesting variation to my usual ‘leafscapes’
